For Zendesk, the office is a very important expression of what the company represents. The interiors we designed were meant to closely reflect the brand’s aesthetics as well as its character. The company was very keen for their office spaces to be homely, natural, and at the same time memorable. It couldn’t resemble a traditional corporate workplace, which is why even the colour temperature of the lighting used inside is not typical for office interiors – we opted for a warm tone (2700 kelvin).
The spaces we created are dominated by simple lines, clean geometry and natural materials. Everything references the timeless style of Danish design and creates a friendly, neutral atmosphere in line with the hygge philosophy, which values cosiness and security.
Other interesting design motifs include accents referencing Polish architecture. Among them are PRL-era glass blocks in the reception area, as well as the “gorseciki” tiles popular in the interwar period, which can be found in the bar.
There’s no shortage of regional accents either. A strong feature recalling Krakow’s heritage is a stained-glass window, a tribute to the work of Stanisław Wyspiański, designed by a Krakow-based artist. The modern style of this office element also references Zendesk’s colour code.
