The redesign of the OLX office began shortly after the pandemic – in mid-2021. The Client was therefore very keen for the office to be adapted to the conditions employees had developed while working from home, with particular attention to work ergonomics and safety. That’s why the OLX office is a space for interdisciplinary activities, where individual zones or rooms can be designed and used depending on needs or circumstances. The office has a wide variety of rooms and spaces where you can work quietly, hold a brainstorming session, or even set up a call with part of the team working from home. Such a broad range of rooms allows users to change their workspace whenever they need to. Almost 50% of the desks in the office are assigned to permanent employees. The rest are hot desks.

OLX placed great emphasis on spaces that integrate employees and facilitate group work. Large meeting rooms, a gym, a kitchen with a big table, tiered seating and a games zone – these places not only unite and bond employees, but also encourage those who stayed at home after the pandemic to come back to the office. Also worth noting is the “design thinking” room, i.e. the creative room. This is a multifunctional space designed according to agile philosophy, intended for collaborative work. During brainstorming sessions, employees can write down their ideas with a marker on the table, whose surface is finished with a writable coating. The most important ones can be transferred to a huge whiteboard that covers the entire surface of one of the walls. Thanks to these solutions, employees can be sure that no important idea is lost during discussions, and everyone interested has access to the content. What’s more, all the furniture in the room is movable, so teams can freely arrange the space according to their needs.

Another goal of the OLX office project was to recreate a homely atmosphere. In many spaces, we designed soft seating and comfortable armchairs to bring a cosy feel to these areas as much as possible. Here you can settle in comfortably and work as if in the comfort of your own home. This atmosphere is reinforced by wood-effect PVC floor panels and rugs found in various parts of the office. Meeting rooms, meanwhile, are often fitted with thick curtains, which not only serve an acoustic function but also add to the cosiness of the space. To achieve even better acoustics in the office, we suspended laminated baffles which together weigh over 200 tonnes.
